Jennifer Jurkofsky

Senior Therapist in training

Jennifer Jurkofsky started working in the field of mental health in 2000 as a residential aid for children with behavioural issues. Her desire to help people led to her pursuing duel degrees, a Bachelors of Science and a Bachelors of Social Work, as well as becoming a Certified Co-occurring Disorders Professional, adult and children’s Life Coach and a registered ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) Counsellor through the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science. Jennifer is a Registered Behaviour Technician and is currently pursuing her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology.

Her extensive work in the field of mental health includes the roles of social worker, therapist, life coach and mental health consultant and trainer. Jennifer’s study in compassionate communication and experience working in the field of mental health for both youth and adults in the criminal justice system contributed to her authoring a university course on the subject of restorative justice.

Jennifer’s passion is to help people reach their highest potential. Currently she does this through her role as Senior Therapist with TIPES, Canada, as a Life Coach and ACT Counsellor, as the Children’s Spiritual Empowerment Class Co-ordinator for the Outaouais Region and as a Reiki Master and a Brain Gym practitioner.

Jennifer’s efforts in the mental health field have been recognized in both, the Manchester and the Cambridge Who’s Who among Social Workers and Executives and Professionals in Mental Health “Honours Edition.”
